Reception for USS Coronado

The Singapore Council of the U.S. Navy League was honored to host the crew from the USS Coronado at a good old Fish & Chips dinner, with the American Association of Singapore (AAS) being one of the sponsors. Having arrived in Singapore in October of last year, the Littoral combat ship began its first rotational deployment to Southeast Asia.

President of the Navy League Singapore, CDR USN (Ret), Ray Corrigan presented Cmdr. Scott Larson, commanding officer of the USS Coronado, with a copy of “Over Singapore” to remind them of the time they have spent here in the region.

In appreciation of the crew’s hard work in preparing and executing this deployment, the Navy Leaguer had also left their well wishes in the book. Cmdr. Scott Larson had also prepared something for his hosts. He presented the Singapore Council with a print of the Littoral combat ship, with a personal message on it from him.
