Navy Ball 2018
On October 20, the Navy League of United States – Singapore Council celebrated the U.S. Navy’s 243rd year by hosting a birthday celebration ball at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia again, for over 500 guests. The gala was graced by the Chargé d’affaires, a.i., at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore, Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath.
Ray Corrigan, President of the Navy League of United States – Singapore Council highlighted that the Navy League was founded in 1902 with the encouragement of President Theodore Roosevelt. It was founded with the sole function of supporting strong sea services for the United States and we have been doing that for 106 years. What President Roosevelt encouraged has now become a worldwide organization with 65,000 members in more than 250 councils.
For those of you who are not a member of the armed services or have spouses who serve, we would encourage you like President Roosevelt did, to join us as we support the men and women of sea services who live here or conduct port visits to Singapore. Visit our website to see how you can contribute or participate.
The night would not have been possible without the contributions of generous sponsors, members, community partners, and affiliates. All combined to make it a great event.
